"This is the way..."

With the release of the long-awaited Mandalorian series on Disney+, there are undoubtedly people who have either just discovered this culture or are finally ready to spring headlong into their stalled projects. This is page is my personal journey from where I was to where I am now.

I began my journey as a member of the Mandalorian Mercs Costume Club way back in 2007 when the website was "Heroes, Villans, and Mandalorians" and continued with the introduction of the original MandalorianMercs.org website. Since that time, I've gone through many changes to get where I am today. I'm not where I ultimately want to be, but I've been part of this family long enough to know that change isn't easy, and you just have to take it one step at a time.

The picture above is were I have been since October 2019 with my son, Jauri Turr'n af the Festival of Treats event at my church. I've been struggling with my weight for a while and changes are coming, and I'm right about the size/weight I was now as when these pictures were taken, but I'm hoping, working, planning on getting down just a bit more before I make any more changes to my kit.

What follows is the brief history of my character/kit, from the very first costume I made up until this latest iteration.

My Mandalorian...

My very first troop ever was at a Back To School event at a charity run by my church in August 2008. Yes, this was an approved costume then. No, it wouln't be remotely approvable today...

Jaiden Turr'n V1

Very shortly after that, I made my first upgrade to my Jaiden Turr'nV2 armor in February 2009...

I wore this iteration for Celebration 5 in Orlando Florida in 2010, but then decided to upgrage again to my Jaiden Turr'n V3 set...

After Celebration V, I started working on my next kit, which is a pilot, Kebii'tra Verda. This one debuted at Celebration 6 in Orlando in August 2012.

2014, I made a few mods to keep up with the trend of never stoping the upgrades...

In late 2017, for Celebration Orlando, I decided to make even more changes...

And shortly after that, starting in 2018, I made a switch in colors and parts for the current iteration of my V4 Kebii'tra Verda pilot.

And again, after a May 4th wedding for a friend, I worked on my V5. Here I am with my son, Jauri Turr'n, at the Festival of Treats at my church in October 2019.

More changes are planned and will be worked on as time and finances permit.
